My name is Antonio Adorno. I am a proud veteran who has served over 20 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy. I began my naval career in Norfolk, Virginia. I reported to Assault Craft Unit 2 / LCU-1660 onboard the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek (as it was known back then) on Thanksgiving 1982. I served both in the “amphib” and the “real” Navy onboard many ships (from a landing craft unit (LCU- 1660) to an aircraft carrier (USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71)). I traveled around the world and sailed the seven seas.
I held several positions (from a Deck Seaman to a Deputy Disbursing Officer). While serving onboard the USS Roosevelt, I earned the Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 9571: Safety Technician and served as the assistant to the Safety Officer as the Departmental OSHA Safety Leading Petty Officer.
In 2005 shortly after successfully completing my military commitment and eight major deployments later, I began my civilian career as a talent acquisition professional and I have been working with the military communities and transitioning offices in hiring veterans who are planning to separate or retire from military service. My wife and I decided to move to Fredericksburg in 2007, but we travel often to the Hampton Roads area to visit our family.
Mark Baird and I have been connected through our military connection since 2016. When he explained his U.S. Military Clean business concept to me, I thought it was a great opportunity and knew I needed to be a part of it. I have been seeking an opportunity where I would play a more direct and personal role in employing veterans.
My goal is to give my customers an amazing white glove inspection ready product by hiring local veterans in and around the state of Virginia.
